IPhone Breaks the Silence of Technology
On January 9, 2007, Apple proudly announced and introduced the technological advancement to the world. After the announcement, a lot of comments, speculations and rumors were attached to the device and circulated for a couple of months. Nevertheless, fans all over the world were still on the verge of needing to have one on the palm of their hands.
Announced to the world back in January of 2007, Apple introduced what has been seen as a breakthrough in mobile phone technology. Suddenly amidst a flurry of worldwide discussion and debate, there were eager potential buyers saving their cash to get an iPhone that they could truly call theirs.
Developed under a blanket of secrecy, project “Purple 2” was to be a breakthrough in mobile phone technology. Initially the design failed to meet Apple's customization requirements The iPhone was born and declared “Invention Of The Year” (TIME magazine) and actually released of in June, 2007 in the United States and achieved around 270,000 phone sales within the first thirty hours. By July, 2008 the faster version – iPhone 3G made an appearance and sold around a million in the first three days. It has been said that the demand has passed its peak but with Apple providing what has been quoted as a major update in 2009, it may yet have a resurgence with users being able to communicate and participate in the world whenever they choose to. Will they bring another success story? Or will another company pip Apple to the prize? Watch this space.
